REGISTRATION
The registration fee is AUD 300, excluding accommodation,
but including refreshments & lunches, handouts and a BBQ dinner on 1
May 2008.
A field tour has been
arranged for an additional AUD 120.
Accompanying persons are
welcome and they are invited to participate in the Partners' Programme as given
below. They will be able to participate at the BBQ dinner at the Workshop at a cost of AUD 85.
PARTNERS' PROGRAM
Mrs. Cathy Baird, member of the organizing committee of the Australian Society for Sugar Cane
Technologists (ASSCT) has organized a “Partners'
Program” to which the Accompanying persons at the ISSCT Workshop are
invited. The fee is AUS$250. Details of the Programme are as
follows:

The first day’s activities (29 April) will begin with the official opening of
the ASSCT conference, followed by a guided tour of the Great Barrier Reef
Marine Park Authority, including a live show and a light lunch. The afternoon
is free, but those wishing to return for feeding time can do so using their
morning’s ticket. Visitors can also visit the Townsville museum adjacent to
the aquarium at their own cost.

The second day begins with a bus drive to Harvey’s Range Tea House northwest
of Townsville for morning tea followed by a tour of an old train tunnel
nearby. Lunch will be at the tea house, before returning to Townsville.

The third day, begins with a
short presentation on cane diseases by BSES at St Patrick’s College, followed
by morning tea and light entertainment.

In addition, all delegates must be
fully paid up Members of the ISSCT, which is at a cost of US$100 per
person and must be arranged before registration (http://www.issct.org/mem.htm).
