Shields were awarded to the Senior authors of the Best Papers of each Commission as follows:

    José Luiz Oliverio (Brazil)

  5. "H. William Kerr" Award for best paper Management Commission
    Adrian Theodor Wynne
    (South Africa)

The awards were named after past sugar cane technologists, members of ISSCT, who had distinguished themselves in the respective disciplines.

All authors of the awarded papers also received a certificate each.
